The giving spirit of the holiday season is a universal thing. I love when I get surprises from family members or friends. But what truly amazes me is when a patient wants to honor me with a gift this tiem of year. My staff has expressed this as well. It’s hard to ask for something or give ideas because we’re reluctant to answer, humbled even, by the question. I’ve heard of other professionals feeling the same way. Still, I pulled together a fun list of eleven fun, quirky, and thoughtful ideas that I think any dental professional would appreciate.
Fun and unique printed tees like this one from Fashionholic Clothing….
…And this one from Cambern Studios are always welcome. We don’t always where our white coats and scrubs, you know.
This tooth graphic key fob by JollyMaeKeyFobs would be a fun way to keep our keys handy and easy to find.
This plastic tumbler I found on Pinterest (made by JKTrends) would be perfect for drinking water, iced tea, or for break between patients. Of course, my name’s not Theresa, but you can get these personalized.
I’m always up for a fun tie to where under my white coat or for consultations. This one was on Zazzle.com.
Dentist professional office items like paperweights, pen holders, business card holders are great for either a dental office or a home office, and they can be personalized if you’re so inclined. They also have wine bottle stoppers for any dental professionals that might like a glass now and again.
A Tooth-shaped USB Flashdrive like this one from logotech.com is a great way for me to keep my files handy for review or take them home if I need to work there.
Subscription to magazines we keep in office or enjoy on my own would be great. Better yet, you can personalize your experience by having a magazine that you like available while you wait for your appointment. We dentists sort of have a reputation for outdated magazines. Your contribution can keep me on track.\
Calendars are great as long as we don’t get too many. We only have so many walls.
We dentists and hygienists spend a lot of time hunched over patients or on our feet. I would be lying if I didn’t say we’d love a massage. Your recommendations for a great masseuse or gift certificates for one are always welcome!
We are just so thankful that people are thinking of us this holiday season. Even more important to us than gifts is that our patients take care of their mouths. We’d love it if in 2016 all our patients came to us with healthy oral cavities, free of inflammation or cavities. That they flossed every day and brushed regularly and only needed an exam and easy cleaning when we saw them. We hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season!
