Downtown Arlington and the Levitt Pavilion are the place to be on Friday for Arlington’s annual hometown Independence Day celebration, Light Up Arlington! Food concessions and activities begin prior to concerts on the Levitt stage. Music begins with singer/songwriter Brad Thompson followed by Fab Four faves with a bluegrass flavor known as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Bluegrass Band. Sgt. Pepper’s will pause for the annual city fireworks display and resume their concert afterward.
50th Annual 4th of July Parade

It’s the golden anniversary! Arlington’s 50th annual 4th of July parade will occur in downtown Arlington Saturday morning, July 4. The event is coordinated by the extremely passionate and hardworking Arlington 4th of July Association. As you may know, Arlington’s 4th of July parade is consistently recognized as one of the best in the country. To ensure you have a great spot to enjoy the festive parade, plan on being downtown early!

The Dallas Cowboys have given us a reason to head to the stadium on the 4th where they will host. This fun event includes tour of AT&T Stadium (self guided or with a tour guide); photo opportunity with Rowdy the Cowboys mascot; pictures and autographs of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders; appearances by Dallas Cowboys alumni DD Lewis, Rocket Ismail and Dixon Edwards; and other fun activities for kids.

Our hometown Rangers are celebrating our country’s birthday at home this weekend facing the Los Angeles Angels for a three game home stand and there is a post-game fireworks show on Saturday night! What could be more American?!?!?
