Lego Club

Arlington Public Library Northeast Branch

Saturday, October 3

Activities will range from building and programming simple Lego models to creative writing using Lego bricks and minifigures. While playing with the Lego StoryStarter and WeDo kits, participants will use their engineering, math, science, and literacy skills.



Traders Village

Saturday, October 3

Come out and enjoy great music of the Alpine Village Band. This lively, four piece German polka band plays polkas and smooth waltzes, and encourages audience participation which leads to a unique style of entertainment. Dine on delicious German food of sausage, German potato salad, and spicy sauerkraut while you enjoy the music. The concert will be in the Big Red Patio next to our family entertainment area of rides and games for all ages.

Maverick Speaker Series featuring Mia Farrow

Award-winning actress and humanitarian Mia Farrow opens UT Arlington’s 2015-2016 Maverick Speakers series with “What Falls Away: One Woman’s Journey to Fulfillment”.  The award-winning actress has worked extensively as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and is involved in humanitarian activities in Africa. All lectures are free, but tickets are required.

The area’s largest Halloween celebration is back. Fright Fest Presented by Snickers features a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.  While the sun us up, it is family friendly Thrills by Day. Once the clock strikes 7:00 p.m., the haunting Fright by Night begins!
